Noxious Weeds

Noxious Weed

NOTICE TO DESTROY NOXIOUS WEEDS

Wisconsin Statute 66.0407 and Village Code 12.02 require that all persons who own, occupy or control land in the Village of Belmont are required to destroy all weeds on such lands.

“Noxious weed” means Canada thistle, leafy spurge, field bindweeds (creeping Jenny) and any other weed the Village Board declares to be noxious within its respective boundaries.

If the noxious weeds are not destroyed, the Village will cause the weeds to be destroyed and the cost of the work will be charged to the property owner.
